Audio
We have always wanted to help Christians – especially Anglicans – to make better use of our Anglican Daily Office for their personal prayer and devotional life. There are indeed rich treasures to be had in the prayers and traditions of the Church.
Unless one is brought up to center his worship life around the church calendar and liturgical tradition, it will be difficult for most of our members to appreciate or use it meaningfully.
This daily devotion is based on the Morning Office. It comes with selected readings from the appointed Psalm and another Scripture text, accompanied by reflections and prayers. It is suitable for personal and family devotions.
We also add an audio option. This allows for meditative pauses and songs, chants or hymns to be added. Prayers and collects of the Church, some which are very ancient, will also be used, along with special feasts or days when we remember or commemorate those who have contributed to the life of the Church.
Each audio will range from 6 to 10 minutes. One can always pause the audio to allow for more personal prayers or deeper reading. There is also a link to the full morning office for the day at the end. If listening to it during commuting is the only option for some days, go ahead. Though, if you can both read and listen to the audio at the same time, that will be ideal.
You may not find every reflection useful. If so, just let the Scripture for the day speak for herself. By “showing up” and keeping the daily discipline, we believe that you will cultivate a daily and lifetime habit that will change your life.
This project starts on Ash Wednesday, 2025 and are offered for weekdays only.
